The Nine Enneagram Types

arrow_orange.gifType 1 - The Perfectionist

Enneagram Type 1
If this is your dominant type - remembering that no type is better or worse, just different - then you are likely to be motivated by the need to live your life in a right and proper way; to avoid criticism. You have high standards and principles and you like to excel in doing things perfectly and correctly. Your strengths lie in your desire to be correct, fair, conscientious and honest, and you are generally task-orientated, methodical and hardworking. When things go wrong you tend to be more critical, rigid, principled and overly judging of self and others. When stressed, your anger can turn to resentment, sadness and melancholy, with outbursts of indignation. When content and feel secure, you are self-reliant and self-accepting, responsible and industrious; an excellent keeper of high standards and integrity.
